We’re going to Hawaii!!!

I haven’t been on here in a week, but I’ve been working on making things happen for myself and my future. I cannot wait to share them with you!

Last week was a test. I feel like I fell back into a phase where I was just depressed. I was moody, over-ate and slept a lot.  I started to lose all motivation for the things that I love. I went walking with my mother, and I snapped out of it. Sometimes, I don’t think I work hard enough, but that’s exactly what I use to push myself.

Last week, I worked, had drinks with my sister and focused on myself. I took a week away from posting on my blog, but I’m still here. I still see the emails and I love to talk to you guys! I’ve been hanging out with friends, got my nails done and I got a henna! I’m focusing on my happiness.

Almond-shaped nails with finger henna designs.

My cousin ran to be a member of the school board and of course, I had to support him. It’s amazing to see my family members doing something great and wanting to give back to their community! There are not a lot of people like him from this area so I wanted him to know that I’m behind him. I voted at my elementary school. It’s been fifteen years since I’ve been there! The hallways look so much smaller, but when I entered the gym to vote, I had memories of my gym teacher: Mr. Brua who I tricked into thinking my name was Courtney for a WHOLE year! Haha. I also thought about just being young with no worries just hoping my corner didn’t get called on while playing four corners. I also thought of the time I randomly burst into tears for no reason at all, and of school dances. Mr.Figgs, my fifth grade teacher and the most influential teacher made all of the men pick a girl to dance with. I was picked by my first “boyfriend”. Those were the days lol. In fifth grade, Mr. Figgs told us all we were the queens and kings of the school. He taught us how to work for things we wanted and he gave use responsibilities (like washing his lunch dishes). He pinched me while I took the fifth grade state test, and I immediately erased that answer lol. Looking back, he cared and he was a damn good teacher. I frequently think back on people like him and appreciate their valuable life-lessons. (Always study and prepare unless you’ll get pinched, haha)

I was sitting in my room being lazy and contemplating whether I should clean my room-lol but instead I grabbed my laptop and decided I needed to catch you guys up on what I’ve been doing. I’m happier and out of my funk. Those are never fun. Thank God they don’t last either. In a month and three days, I’ll be 21. I’m sure I’ll have a lot of stories to share lol be on the lookout!

Sooooo…. today happened. And I’m SUPER excited. I BOOKED A TRIP TO HAWAII!!!!! I can’t even believe this is happening. I’m going to blog and share pictures every single day!! I’ll be 21 by this time, and I’m ALREADY a college graduate. God is amazing. It’s going to be beautiful and I’m excited to bring you all along with me 🙂 LET’S CELEBRATE.

It’s a good feeling to know you are blessed.
