The fact that we are now in the year 2017 and an individual cannot be themselves without being in fear of negative connotations from another person is beyond disgusting. We as people need to get rid of not only stereotypes, but judging people overall.
You are created, and then recreated.
A woman, who was made by a rib.
She was founded by the support of the man.
The moment she took her first breath, she was special.
God favored her, shaped her in his image.
She bore children, and raised her family.
She taught her daughter to be fierce.
She was the true backbone of her family.
She redefined strength when her hips cracked, she tore and she birthed a child.
She names her son after the father, but she is his first bond.
She remained hungry many nights, but her children knew a good childhood.
She worked while the city was at rest.
She never complained and always thanked God.
She had a daughter, and then another.
She taught them how to love.
Her ancestors picked cotton and shared land.
Her grandfather moved his family North for better life in 1973.
He started his “new life” with two children, a wife and $20.
She was raised in the North and 26 years later, gave birth to me.
I carry her strength.
Everything she touches becomes gold.
As soon as I began to think of telling this story, My door opened slightly on its own. It wasn’t completely latched, but my room became hot and at 12.53am, this story will remain a draft…
It’s a very unsettling feeling to know evil is near, but faith overcomes this every time. God will always win.
Story Times are where I will shared from my past. This segment will include nothing but the 100% truth. This story is about the time I believe that I talked to Satan.
To the ladies who became business women, scientist and inventors,
Thank you for teaching me this is a woman’s world.
To the African Americans who were beaten, whipped and even killed,
Thank you for fighting for my future & inspiring me to make my life worth it.
To the protestors who stopped traffic and simply held their signs,
Thank you for teaching me violence isn’t the only solution to injustice.
You Matter To Me.
Week Ending: March 19, 2017.
“Life isn’t always easy, but the journey you take allows you to become who you are meant to be. Life is also far too short to not appreciate every single aspect of it. The best and happiest moments of your life often occur when you realize that even the smallest things matter. They sometimes hold the most value.”
Grow with me.
Dear Mr. Shadowman:
I never thought we’d meet again.
But when you see him once, you always see him again.
~the feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction. fear; to be afraid of.
It swallows you whole, spits you out and leaves you confused.
Was I consumed, used or just playing naive?
Do you believe in love at first sight?
How long does it take two people to fall in-love?
Where are the rules to this part of my life?
There are several signs that will indicate the process of mental growth. As you mature, you realize you no longer react to certain situations the way you may have in the past. You also desire to share your energy with activities that will only give you the best outcomes. Certain things that once interested you no longer matter. You begin to take better care of yourself physically and mentally. Life is abundant; lavish and plentiful. The most beautiful thing one must know is that your mindset is a strong force. It tugs with the strings of your brain and heart. Having control of your own mindset allows you look at despair and find the beauty within it.
