Choose happiness.

I love you, and I’m glad you chose to read my blog. I hope you enjoy…

“Living your life being happy is a choice.”

We must learn to go through life smiling, encouraged and full of joy. God did not put us on Earth to not love it. The impact that we must have on others should leave them feeling freshened and refueled. The bible tells us God came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly.

I focus my energy everyday on feeling transformed & and freshened. If I don’t, I wont only be robbing myself, but my family of the gifts that I have to give. I drew the line in the sand and recently, I promised myself to let my joy be seen. God has given me my life to enjoy. I may not be where I would like to be, but I cannot become frustrated with that.

I am happy where I am, and I’m excited to see where I will go.

Goals and dreams should not frustrate you until you end up where you want to be. We must all plant ourselves in happiness. God never intended  for us to put off our happiness until we get the things we want.

Learn to encourage and love yourself.

If you think about it, children start off happy. They never hold grudges or walk around with bitterness (Or even worried about their future) they forgive quickly and are excited about each day. They are simply excited at the dawning of each day. This is that same happiness God has planted within each and every one of us.

Once this day is over, we will never get back. Never waste years of your life sad and worried. Celebrate each day as a gift from God.

When you wake up you can choose to be either happy or sad. You can choose to accept God’s goodness, or you can choose to be irritable and sour; just trying to make it through the day. You have to make a declaration in the morning,” God is going to bless me, something good is going to happen today.” The bible says joy comes in the morning.

Remember nothing can take your joy, and you are the only one in charge of how happy or unhappy you are.

Our happiness is based on our perspective:

“Ugh, I have to go to work today…”

No, you get to go to work today!

“I have to clean this house, it’s so much work.”

No, you get to clean that house, you’re strong and healthy. On top of that you HAVE a house.

There are very few things we HAVE to do. But there are plenty we should feel blessed to.

“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  (Psalms 118:24)
